“memory is the way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose”The Wonder Years
Just imagine
for a while what will happen if you are born without memory? How’s your life
without a memory? You will not recognize your, parents your siblings, and your
loved ones.

If I ask you who are you? You will suddenly think about giving your introduction and that’s the game of memory. Memory is like a glue that binds all our thoughts in a single file in our mind.
Now the
question is how can you improve your memory?
1. Stop making excuses.
Stop making
excuses that your mind is not able to learn new things. Stop thinking that you
are too old to learn new ideas or new things.
2. Don’t ever take too much stress
Everything
takes time to happen. Don’t ever think that whatever you are doing or in which
you are putting your 100% effort is not going to be the best thing. Ups and
downs are always part of our life but u have to believe in yourself. Best
things are on their way and you will get them whenever there is the right time.

3. Don’t limit yourself
Sometimes
you just limit yourself to certain things and don’t want to get out of your
limitations.
Make a list
of your limitations and then make a plan to do better than your limitations.
Think outside the box. Make your mind clear and you will learn the best things.
4. Control your mind by controlling your
inner voice
Make one
thing clear, if you give yourself bad commands, then bad things will happen. If
you think big and give yourself commands to do positive things. Positive and good things will happen in your life.
Our life is
just a game of thinking. If you think you can do the best, you can obviously do the best.
5. Don’t do many tasks at a time
You must
enlist the priorities of your tasks. Do the first task, complete it then go for the second, and so on. It will help you to concentrate on your tasks in the best way. You will
be mentally satisfied and it will help you to improve your focusing qualities.
6. Be clear about what you want to do
You should
know what you are doing, what will be its consequences. You must be clear in
your thoughts. Whenever you are clear in your thoughts you improve your mental
abilities and can easily remember things about your tasks.
You can
remember the mountains of information when you are interested in the subject. It
almost feels automatic and your concentration is at a peak. You must find your
interest and then make links between your interest and new things which you’re
going to learn by working on it.
“There are no uninterested things, only uninterested people.”Gilbert Chesterton
7. Train your creativity and make your
memory better
“When you train your creativity, you automatically train your memory. When you train your memory, you automatically train your creative thinking skills”Tony Buzan
Many people
dream of having a photographic memory. In actuality, memory is a creative process not
photographic one. If you want to get a photographic memory you must train your
senses. We have five senses and you must train them to memorize things.
8. Make your imagination better
Make your
imagination better by exaggerating things in your mind. There is no scientific
evidence that learning must be serious. You can use funny things in your mind
to elaborate on the things you are imagining, in this way you can better remember
them.
9. Imagination vs will
Imagination
always works better than will. If you “will” yourself to remember things and
imagination is not the task you will have minimum retention and recall. Your
imagination is the place of all your memory power.
10.
Try
to create art in memory
Words we say
or learn make an image in our minds. If we covert this image into some creative
image our mind will remember it for a long time. This is the age of the internet.
You can use the power of google image to create your memory diagrams. Make an MS
Word or PowerPoint file on your laptop or computer. You can see it more often
and these pictures create instant learning and will help you to memorize things
properly.
