Today at 10:00 AM, I turned on my TV to a local news channel, where the host was interviewing a person named Sara Gill, a transgender woman, on the morning show. She recently completed her MBBS from a university in Karachi, becoming the first transgender doctor in Pakistan. According to Sara, she had to hide her identity to get admission, presenting herself as male on the application form. She shared her journey of becoming who she had always dreamed of being.

In a way, it’s ironic that society’s inability to respect the transgender community has made their achievements, like Sara’s, even more significant. They endure so much for an identity they didn’t choose. Even educated people fail to understand that this is due to an extra chromosome in their genetic makeup. It's heartbreaking to think that someone has to hide who they are just to achieve their dreams.
Sara’s achievement shines as a beacon of hope for other transgender individuals, and I sincerely wish that our society would begin accepting them for who they are. They should never have to hide their identity. It’s time for our government and private organizations to grant them the proper rights in every aspect of life so they can fully embrace their individuality as transgender people.
I’ll close this paragraph with the thought that being the first one is always difficult, regardless of the community you belong to. No one can truly understand the struggles you’ve faced on your journey to success. However, if your challenges pave the way for others, it means your efforts are bearing fruit. There is always a ray of light.
